Bernard Piccione is a driven, highly successful IT executive with career success creating and delivering technology solutions in precise alignment with enterprise requirements of global-scale organizations, and he is adept in managing all aspects of multimillion-dollar IT operations, including capital projects, M&As, data center and virtualization initiatives, and cloud computing transformations. In 2016, Bernard founded and assumed the role of Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Ingenuity Advisory Partners, Inc., an international consultancy delivering strategic IT consulting services to the medium-scale, enterprise sector. He has since formed critical business partnerships with such solution providers as Salesforce, HP, and Cisco to provide a full suite of client solutions. From 2014 to 2016, Bernard was recruited and held the role of CIO for ComplexCare Solutions, Inc., PE/VC Warburg Pincus-backed company, where he developed and built the IT service organization, including Development, Help Desk, Support, Data / Database, Infrastructure, IT Security, and Desktop Support functions, from the ground up. He also played an instrumental role in all aspects of technology-driven business enablement, including launch of custom Salesforce solutions, development of online training portals, transition to virtualized infrastructure model, transformation of multiple data center environments, and realignment of product / service vendor portfolio for dramatic cost savings. Prior to ComplexCare, he served as CIO for MagnaCare, LLC, from 2010 to 2014, he was also recruited for this leadership role until it was acquired by Goldman Sachs; in this position, Bernard spearheaded development and implementation of key enterprise business solutions, such as human capital management, financial accounting, eCommerce, and internal / client-facing systems, platforms, and portals. Additionally, he leveraged the VMware virtualization platform to cut infrastructure costs by 40%+ and overhauled IT service management practices to propel service delivery metrics for 3 geographically-distributed business operations. From 1999 to 2010, Bernard held the role of VP, IT, Quality & Training (2009 to 2010) within Advanced Patient Advocacy, where he directed infrastructure virtualization, data center re-architecture, business system implementation, and online solution development initiatives. As Senior Director of Enterprise Solutions for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (2005 to 2009), he managed a $150M enterprise SDLC portfolio and team of 75+. Within Houghton Mifflin Publishing Company, he quickly advanced from Director of Enterprise Architecture to Vice President of Strategy & Architecture (2001 to 2005) and oversaw all consolidation of all corporate IT divisions under CIO while leading major enterprise application integration and implementation initiatives. Earlier, Bernard earned recognition for contributions as Manager of Internet Architecture within General Electric Healthcare (1999 to 2001). Previously, he served in the US Army, completing assignments within the US and Germany. Bernhard holds a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Boston University and has completed extensive professional technical training and qualification. He is active in professional and community organizations, including Society of Information Managers (SIM), where he participated in the Regional Leadership Forum, Leadership Development Forum, and Advanced Practice Council, as well as the American Association of Publishers; his community involvement and volunteer service includes Habitat for Humanity, the Special Olympics, and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
