About me

With an educational background in graphic design, photography and web design, I began my career as the sole in-house designer for Safety 1st, an international manufacturer of children’s safety products, then located in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. Wanting to expand my creative opportunities, I joined the entrepreneurial world in 1995 launching in “Waterloo Design” which specialized in corporate identity systems, ad design, sales and marketing materials, and web design. Some of my Boston-based clients included Safety 1st, Harvard Eating Disorders Center, Lifeline Systems and Commonwealth Films.

I adopted the Berkshires as my home in 2000, and in 2003 joined forces with Nan Bookless (the "Book" part of "BookMarc Creative") with whom I worked in partnership for 15 years. During that time we expanded our client list to include a solid base of regional, out-of-state, and international businesses and have garnered 44 American Graphic Design Awards (since 2009). Now the sole proprietor of BookMarc, I continue to grow and change with the industry and am always up for the next design challenge. In addition to BookMarc Creative, I am also the Creative Director of Be Iconic Style, a business located in Dallas, Texas geared toward the empowerment of women through style.

On the personal front, a passion for travel (which began in childhood with trips across the U.S., Europe and Fiji) coupled with my love of photography fuel my creativity. In recent years I have explored Alaska and sailed the islands of the Cyclades and Dodecanese, and am excited to be planning my next trip to Australia. I always keep an eye open for my next adventure. I am also a diehard "foodie" and am a trained pastry chef. Clients who play their cards right are sometimes surprised by a tasty treat!
